Colleagues from across the University caught up with past and future students at two receptions in India
Our Chief Development Officer, Dr Katie Harland-Edminson joined colleagues from our Alumni Relations, Business School and International Office teams to welcome prospective students and alumni for refreshments and networking events on Monday 16 and Wednesday 18 March in New Delhi and Mumbai. The events were part of a wider DUBS delegation to India supporting Partnerships and Recruitment,
The events were hosted at The Claridges Hotel, New Delhi and The Sofitel in the financial district of Mumbai. More than 100 alumni and supporters registered to hear a Business School update from Professor Amir Michael, Deputy Dean of the Business School and a University update from Katie Harland-Edminson. They also caught up with the next generation of Durham students over refreshments. In both locations, our alumni supported by engaging with students holding offers for our 2026 student intake.
Chapter Lead Sahil Kumar welcomed guests in New Delhi to strengthen existing connections and make new ones. Plans are in place for a new Chapter Lead for our Mumbai community in the near future.
It was lovely to meet so many of our alumni in India and to experience the community growing stronger over time. We are delighted to see that Durham has remained with them long after graduation.
