A warm welcome to the IAS's 2024 Epiphany Term Fellows

The IAS welcomes its Epiphany Term (2024) Fellows to Durham. Several of our Fellows will be collaborating across the University with colleagues on two major IAS projects (Understanding Offence; and Justice and Artificial Intelligence) or joining forces with other colleagues on additional research until the end of this term.

£2m grant success for Dr Helen Foxhall Forbes

Researchers from Durham's Departments of History and Archaeology have been chosen for a €2m European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant. Led by Dr Helen Foxhall Forbes (History), the team will conduct ground-breaking research on how people responded to environmental and climatic change during the medieval period.
