Dr Anjitha Gopi holds a PhD in English from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India, where her dissertation offered a chronotopic reading of Native American literature through N. Scott Momaday’s House Made of Dawn, Leslie Marmon Silko’s Ceremony and Louise Erdrich’s The Round House. As part of her doctoral training, she pursued her coursework and field study at the University of California, Davis, USA. She worked as an Assistant Professor (English) at Vellore Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (VIT-AP) University, Amaravati campus for three years until June 2026. Currently, she is an independent researcher. Her research examines how power structures manifest in everyday life, working across three methodological registers: literary close reading, ethnographic fieldwork and cultural criticism with a focus on invisible labour, digital cultures and climate precarity. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes including forthcoming chapters in Setter Colonial Theory, 20 Years On and publishers such as Bloomsbury and Routledge. Her public scholarship features in The News Minute, Telangana Today and Mathrubhumi.
