That is why Durham University’s Centre for Sustainable Development Law and Policy (CSDLP) and the National University of Singapore’s Centre for International Law (CIL) are hosting a webinar this March: The Road Ahead for Global Climate Action Post-COP30: A Cross-Regional Perspective.
This roundtable dialogue will:
- Examine the core outcomes of COP30 by drawing together speakers presenting different regional perspectives.
- Evaluate the opportunities and gaps COP30 decisions present for different stakeholders including governments, civil society, and the private sector.
- Outline pathways for effective implementation of new mechanisms and plans to accelerate decarbonization solutions.
- Discuss regional priorities, as well as the challenges faced in addressing climate change amid complex geopolitical developments.

Petra Minnerop is a Professor of International Law, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development Law and Policy and Head of Durham University’s COP Steering Group. Petra led the Durham University COP30 delegation to Belém, Brazil.
