CSDLP at COP 28

Our researchers at CSDLP are actively involved in addressing the complex legal issues of climate change and they participate in events at COP by making submissions and presentations.

For the first time, at COP28, members of the CSDLP are leading with partners from the Centre for International Law, National University of Singapore, an official UNFCCC Side Event.

Prior to that, we have made a written submission to the technical assessment phase of the Global Stocktake. This is a key process in the UNFCCC that will draw to a close for the first time at COP28 in Dubai.

Our academics have participated in the important Subsidiary Bodies conferences in Bonn and presented their research there, such as on projections of sea level rise under different temperature scenarios and how scientific findings can influence decisions adopted at COPs. Working within the global governance structures of the UNFCCC has strengthened our engagement and collaboration with a range of different stakeholders and it has led to further impact of our research at the international level.
