Current research projects and events organised within the Centre for Poetry and Poetics include:

• Awarded £67,000 Arts Council funding to develop an awareness of the Northern Poetry Library • Collaboration with Durham Book Festival to secure the annual Festival Laureate • Organisation of international conferences on topics including the futures of elegy, literary birds, and Lafcadio Hearn
