Poster for Researching the Video Game Workshop

Through the DRMC Fellow Workshop Scheme that we are running this year, DRMC and Multiplay present  'Researching the Video Game', a workshop on Wednesday 17th May 2023 9am-4pm.

The workshop will look at the range of methodologies used when researching and studying video games. This will be three workshops with the aim of providing discussion surrounding the range of methodologies used when studying video games delivered by experts in these methodological approaches.

Video games research is an emerging area of academia, evolving from a range of disciplines such as Sociology, Media and Cultural Studies, English Literature and Technology. From this, there are new and developing research methods and methodologies to be considered. This conference will aim to provide a discussion around these methods, coming from the academics using and developing them.
