Dr Adebola Adeyemi

Adebola obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Lagos State University, Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar. Adebola holds a Master of Laws degree (Corporate Governance) from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in law from Swansea University. Adebola's thesis‘Promoting Sustainable Development Through Financed Projects: An Alternative Regulatory Tool’ examines the challenges with existing hard and soft regulatory instruments for lessening the adverse impacts of large-scale infrastructure projects. Adebola proposed a novel regulatory tool that overcomes limitations, supplements the existing hard and soft regulatory instruments, and promotes local contractor participation in the implementation of large scale development projects.

Adebola has previously worked at the International College of Wales, Swansea; and at Royal Holloway, University of London. With respect to legal practice, Adebola worked at PAC Solicitors (a law firm based in Lagos) Nigeria where he led the firms' Special Projects and the Fintech and Information Technology units. In this role, Adebola advised on corporate governance matters, structuring of energy projects, and the documentation of major information technology projects.
