Staff profile

I have a relatively multi-disciplinary academic background, with qualifications in forestry (undergraduate) and Environmental Biogeochemistry (masters and PhD). I have postdoctoral research experience in both social and physical sciences, with a particular focus on environmental engineering and its wider impact.

I'm the senior technical services and facilities manager in Engineering and have the following additional roles:

• Departmental radiation protection supervisor (RPS)
• Departmental laser safety officer (LSO)
• Departmental health and safety coordinator

Talking Science

I'm really keen to talk about science and engineering, and I've been fortunate enough to be involved with lots of great projects that aim to get scientists and engineeers out of the lab, engaging with people and talking about what they do, and why. The projects have included:
