Under 18s Policy
Most students at Durham are over the age of 18, and the University and its colleges are adult environments. You will usually live in college in your first year and must abide by the rules and regulations of the University and the college of which you are a member.
We are able to make offers to applicants who are under 18 when they begin their studies and will turn 18 before the 1st September following their registration at the University.
If you are under 17 and are made an offer to study with us then part of the conditions of your offer will be that your parent(s) or guardian are asked to sign our consent form. This form outlines the terms and conditions you and your parent(s)/guardian are asked to commit to should you become a student with us.
The deadline to return this form is the 30th June 2022. It is important that you return this form to us by this deadline so your application can be progressed when results are published.
If you’ve applied using the Common App, please send the form as directed in your offer guide.
