Summer Innovation Fellowship is an intensive eight‑week summer school themed around the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), designed exclusively for Durham University students. You’ll have the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops, explore global challenges, and develop innovative ideas using design thinking, rapid prototyping, and entrepreneurial strategies.

Brought to you by Venture Lab, the Summer Innovation Fellowship has been developed using insights from world‑leading innovation and sustainability practices. By taking part you’ll have the chance to:

  • Work in teams to explore sustainability challenges and understand the impact they create.
  • Generate ideas and develop them into viable, impactful solutions.
  • Build skills in design thinking, rapid prototyping, and entrepreneurial strategy.
  • Take part in a fully‑funded international trip to India to deepen your understanding of global innovation ecosystems.
  • Receive a £2,000 stipend to support your participation.
  • Become part of a growing community of students committed to shaping a more sustainable future.
