The Zurbarán Centre is a Durham University research institution.
Since its launch in 2017, the Centre has engaged in major international research projects, conferences, public engagement activities, and pioneering exhibitions.
It collaborates with partners in the UK and abroad, and it offers opportunities for postgraduate and post-doctoral research.
The Centre is named after the Spanish painter Francisco de Zurbarán (1598-1664) whose series of paintings Jacob and His Twelve Sons have been at Auckland Castle for more than 250 years.
