UK & Ireland Green Gown Awards 2024 'Sustainable Institution of the Year' finalists!

The Energy and Sustainability team are pleased to announce that Durham University has been shortlisted for the 'Sustainable Institution of the Year' category at the Green Gown Awards 2024.

Well done to the Energy and Sustainability team for putting together a strong application and good luck for the next stage of the awards!

Durham University has also been shortlisted for the 'Creating Impact' category (supporter: The Scottish Funding Council) for the 93 to 19 – The Odorbac Initiative and for our collaborative project between Energy and Sustainability, Accommodation and Commercial Services, Operations Directorate and Procurement teams, where we have worked to minimise the impact of cleaning products on the environment.
