Durham Arctic Society are a student-led organisation dedicated to the promotion of interdisciplinary undergraduate engagement in arctic studies and research with a focus on climate change and sustainability.

The society are currently recruiting executive members (Welfare Officer, Departmental Reps and Editorial Officers) and are looking for contributors to publish their work on any subject related to the Arctic in their upcoming Durham Arctic Journal. Durham Arctic Society are hosting a conference in October 2024. The conference will celebrate women in arctic studies and research, the event will invite speakers from throughout the UK to engage with the achievements of women in the Arctic sector, as well as the often-overlooked experience and safety of women in field research.
