As I'm sure you are aware the last cohort to graduate from Kings before it became Newcastle University in 1964 are now in their later 70s consequently it seems a little late in the day to be collecting memories from those who graduated much earlier. However, I and nine others who graduated in 1964 are still in touch via e-mail and managed to meet in 2012, fifty years after we first joined the GDH course in Chemistry and Physics or Maths and are now discussing a repeat sixty years on in 2022. Nine of us from around the UK and Canada met in Newcastle in 2012 along with partners for a 2 day get together, catch up and reminiscences. It was surprising how easy it was to reconnect after so many years and re-establish the firm friendships we had had at Kings.
