The objective of this conference is to provide DBA students and alumni the opportunity to present their work to internationally recognised academics, leading executives, and DBA peers, as well as to interact and network in the supportive and enabling environment of DU Business School. DBA students in their final year are strongly encouraged to present their research in paper or poster sessions and receive valuable constructive feedback. We also particularly invite submissions from DBA students in all stages of the research phase to present their work-in-progress to further develop it, as well as from alumni who wish to share their research findings and enhance publication opportunities. DBA students toward the end of the taught phase will also have opportunities to gain insights and develop their research.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Doing Research-Based Business - Putting Theory into Practice.” We welcome innovative research ideas that contribute to knowledge and aim to improve managerial practice. We will consider submissions on all topics and methods within business and management, including but not limited to: Strategy, Organisational Behaviour, Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Operations, and Sustainability. Abstracts should be original and previously unpublished, and will be evaluated based on academic rigor, relevance, and potential to stimulate interesting discussion.

The conference will be hybrid on 12 May 2023, with an online session on 13 May 2023. DBA students and alumni interested in participating are requested to submit an abstract of no more than 1,000 words (including references) by 15 April 2023.

To submit your abstract please complete this form.

Authors will be notified by 20 April 2023. Accepted submissions will be considered for a Best Abstract award.
