Durham University Business School is celebrating Durham University’s rise to 85th in the QS World University Rankings 2027. The University has climbed nine places, strengthening its position among the world’s top institutions.

The rankings highlight strong performance across key areas, including employer reputation, academic reputation and sustainability.

Durham made significant gains in employer reputation, rising 15 places to 49th globally. This shows the strong value employers place on a Durham degree.

The University also improved its academic reputation. It is now ranked joint 24th in the world for sustainability, highlighting its impact on global challenges.

This builds on an exceptional year for Durham. The University has been named The Times and The Sunday Times University of the Year and ranks among the UK’s top five universities. In the Complete University Guide 2027, 31 of 32 subjects are in the UK top ten.

This momentum is reflected across the Business School. We recently marked our 60th anniversary and continue to strengthen our global position.
