The 2025 South College Epiphany Term Ball was the first ever to take place in College. It was a huge success.
Since South admitted its first students in 2020, staff and students have been determined to host a ball in our own superb premises. On the evening of Friday 28 February, the plan became reality when we welcomed hundreds of elegantly attired Southies to the enchanting Masquerade themed event.
Our dining hall in the Hub, College plaza and bar were all beautifully decorated. Two dinner sittings allowed all who wanted to eat to enjoy a delicious three course dinner and a glass of wine. The wine was provided by a generous donation from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
In the plaza, electronic clay pigeon shooting and mini golf proved immensely popular. The Pitcairn Building hosted tarot card readers and poker. In The Nest, our College bar, five excellent student bands and a DJ kept Southies dancing until long after midnight.
Junior Common Room (JCR) President, Kye Slawson Powell and Epiphany Ball Chair, Plamena Dimitrova worked exceptionally hard to provide an evening of glamour and entertainment.
It was another first in South College's history. We all hope there will be many more.
