Volunteering

Student can choose to volunteer through college projects, department initiatives, societies and Durham University Student Volunteering and Outreach (DUSVO). DUSVO boasts between 40 - 50 community student lead community projects.

It is easy to volunteer; whether you are looking for a 'one off' event or a project, all opportunities can be found online and all relevant training is provided. In return for giving your time, you will get to learn new skills, meet new people and make new friends whilst supporting the wider community.

Travel Opportunities

And if you're interested in working with a community further afield, you might want to take the opportunity to travel and help communities elsewhere.

We have many links with charity and volunteering projects across the world, and our volunteers have worked with groups in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Zambia.
