The archaeological sites of Nineveh and Hatra in Iraq have been under threat from many sources, but the ISIS occupation of Iraq in 2014 had a profound effect on the preservation of the country's archaeology. Professor Stefano Campana, an expert on landscape archaeology and conservation from the University of Siena, will be talking about the destruction and damage caused to the ancient cities of Nineveh and Hatra before, during and after the ISIS occupation.
