Global Futures Pre-University Summer School

Spend 10 unforgettable days at Durham University. Set in a UNESCO World Heritage city, this residential experience brings together academic exploration, cultural activities and international friendships, helping students build independence, strengthen their study habits and gain a genuine preview of undergraduate life.

Academic pathways

The programme includes 24 hours of academic instruction based on the student's chosen pathway. The academic tasters are designed to feel like real university study rather than school lessons. Sessions are interactive and discussion-based, led by Durham academics who will guide students through contemporary questions and challenges in their field. They will be encouraged to share ideas, ask questions and approach topics from different perspectives, as undergraduate students do.

Students can choose one of three pathways: Arts and Humanities, Science or Social Sciences.
