On Monday 27th April, poet and author Nancy Campbell will be coming to Durham to deliver the Bill Heal Annual Arctic Lecture, organised by the DurhamARCTIC research centre. Her lecture revolves around the theme 'The Library of Ice: Witnessing the Environment through Creative Practice'.
Nancy Campbell will discuss contemporary projects in literature and the visual arts, both her own and those of others, to consider the challenges and posit the possibilities for witnessing and recording the Arctic environment. This annual event is organised in memory of Bill Heal, a leading soil scientist instrumental in founding the University of the Arctic network, and an alumnus of Durham University.
Nancy's talk will be followed by a Q & A and discussion; see Eventbrite for full details and to book a free ticket.
