Durham Law School tops Unifresher 2027 rankings

Durham Law School has been ranked number one in the Unifresher law rankings 2027 with an overall score of 207 points, reinforcing its status as a leading centre for legal education.
This top ranking reflects exceptional performance across key measures of student experience, including 90% scores for both teaching quality and academic support, alongside strong results in student satisfaction, graduate earnings, and wider factors such as city experience and sustainability.
A standout performance in a highly competitive field
Law remains one of the most competitive and closely scrutinised degrees in the UK, with significant variation across the sector in course delivery, advocacy opportunities, mooting provision and graduate outcomes. This year, the Unifresher Rankings assess 97 universities using eight consistent metrics, providing comparative data across the full field.
Against this backdrop, Durham’s consistent excellence across all eight metrics sets it apart, demonstrating strength not only in academic delivery but across the wider student experience, from teaching and support to employability outcomes.
