On Wednesday 21 October, the Durham Law School Alumni Association and leading City law firm, Travers Smith, co-hosted a drinks reception for members of the Association at the stunning new London offices of the firm.

With over 170 people registered for the event, it was wonderful opportunity for Durham alumni who are active in the legal sector, whether in private practice, in-house, or at the Bar, to meet up with old friends, make new acquaintances, and enjoy lively conversations over drinks and canapés.

“It was our great pleasure to co-host this event. The energy in the room was fantastic. Durham University has always been a very important source of graduate recruitment for us, and we were delighted to have this opportunity to strengthen our relations with the University and the Law School” said Ryan Ayrton, a senior partner in the Travers Smith finance team.

“I would like to thank Travers Smith for their extremely generous support for the Durham Law School Alumni Association, the Law School and the University as a whole. It was a very special evening and great to see so many alumni together in one room, all of whom clearly have very fond memories of their time at Durham” said Professor Bruce Wardhaugh, incoming Dean of Durham Law School.
