Fees and finance
The cost of studying in Durham has two core elements:
- the University and College fees that must be paid by all registered students
- Taught MA (full-time/part-time). Durham alumni get a 10% fee scholarship.
- Research degrees (full-time/part-time)
- the money that you need to live on: accommodation, food, travel, personal effects, etc. Living costs will vary according to your personal circumstances. Durham postgraduate students are all members of colleges and many choose to apply for accommodation within a college: you don’t have to do this, as the rental market within Durham is wide-ranging. Some general guidance on accommodation in Durham can be found here.
