Post-offer Visit Days

Welcome to the Department of Sociology (Sociology and Criminology)

Congratulations on receiving an offer to study with us at Durham University! As members of the Department of Sociology, we are pleased to welcome you to our Post-offer Visit Days on Saturday 14th March 2026 and Saturday 25th April 2026 between10:00 and 12:00. 

Please find below an example of how the session could be structured (exact details will be available closer to each date):

• 10:00 – 10:30: Brief Programme overview ​
• 10:30 – 10:50: Student led session 
• 10:50 – 11:00: Break​
• 11:00 – 11:45: Sample teaching session
• 11:45 – 12:00: Informal discussion, Q&A 

We would also like to extend a warm welcome to Durham to the guests of offer-holders, though – with a view to room capacity – it may not be possible to participate in the academic taster sessions.

Guests are also encouraged to visit the University Information Fair during your time in Durham.
