Austral works on Southern Hemisphere semester dates. The semesters run from July to November then March to June. If students commence studies in July, this would be semester two for Austral.

The Student Care Team at Ashoka provides early intervention for students who may be struggling or in distress. They offer a safe and welcoming space to share thoughts and feelings provide referrals to resources and support services that can help navigate challenges.
Ashoka supports a number of summer school opportunities for students. These include: Ashoka Summer Course and Ashoka Summer Research programmes. All opportunities offered over vacation times can be found on the Summer or Winter School webpages. These programmes are independent of the full-year study abroad programme.
Sonipat comes under the National Capital Region and is around 45 kilometres (28 mi) from New Delhi. The capital is a cosmopolitan city due to the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural presence of the vast Indian bureaucracy and political system.
