Term dates:

  • Semester 1: September to December (exams mid-December)
  • Semester 2: March to June (exams mid-June)

Application deadline (once students have been awarded a Global Opportunities place by DU):

  • Semester: 20 May
  • Semester 2: 10 November.

  • 1. Law Program:- Legal Chinese; International Trade Law; International Investment Law; Civil Litigation and Commercial Arbitration; Chinese Society and Economy; Criminal Procedure Law of China; Chinese Judicial System; WTO Legal System; Chinese Contract Law
  • 2. Business Program (courses to be confirmed)
  • 3. Public Administration Program (courses to be confirmed)

Study Load

ECUPL has no credit requirements for incoming exchange students. Students are required to obtain approval from Durham University Law School for their choice of modules and the number of credits to be completed. For information, please see ECUPL Exchanges Fact Sheet 2022-23

Language Requirement:

For English, ECUPL respect the selection and nomination of partner institutions.

For Chinese, Students should have HSK Level 5 if they would like to have the courses in Chinese. Otherwise, ECUPL do not require Chinese proficiency on Chinese language courses.

  • Housing Application Deadline: January for Spring Semester/August for Fall Semester
