This July will see the return of Durham City Run Festival and we are delighted to be supporting the event as a major partner. Take on the historic streets of Durham for a midsummer evening of racing!

The festival will take from Thursday 13 to Saturday 15 July, with events throughout the city and at our venues. As well as the main pull of the 10 and 5K runs, there are many other events to get stuck into - from urban orienteering, to family team runs, and coaching, there really is something for everyone!

XO Urban Orienteering
Tackle your own running route and gain points through a series of secret challenges.
9.30am
Durham Mums on the Run: Buggy Warm Up
3K run starting and finishing at the Radisson Blu, Durham.
Free for Durham City Run entrants.
11:30am
Red Sky Colour Run
3K run starting and finishing at Clubhouse (DH1 3BN).
7pm & 7.15pm
5K and 10K runs
Take on the historic streets of Durham for a midsummer evening of racing.
This year's runs will finish at Palace Green in front of Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle.
Various start times from 10.40am - 4.40pm
Run Like a Legend Mile
Test yourself over a 1 mile course starting and finishing at Durham racecourse.
Paula Radcliffe's Families on Track
3 laps of 250m, 500m, or 1K at Durham racecourse.
Each family must complete 10K in total.
Horrible Histories author themed run with Terry Deary.
5K run starting and finishing at the Radisson Blu, Durham.
