The inaugural Durham Global Week wrapped up in style at the Durham Global Awards, held at Stephenson College on Friday 10 March.
Professor Rob Lynes CMG (Principal Stephenson College and Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global)) welcomed guests to announce the winners of 9 categories in the Durham Global Awards, as well as the winners of the Global Goals Game Changer Challenge.
The winners were selected from a large pool of nominees reflecting both individual and team contributions to our cultural diversity, and globally impactful academic projects, partnerships and collaborations. We would like to congratulate all winners and shortlistees of the first Durham Global Awards.

I am delighted that, through these Awards, we can recognise the contribution of our international staff and students to the academic and cultural life of our University, and the efforts of individuals and teams to promote intercultural understanding and foster an inclusive and welcoming community. It is also an opportunity for us to celebrate the global impact of our work and learn from each other in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding.
