About TEDxDurhamUniversity

TEDxDurhamUniversity is an independently organised TEDx event run solely by students, dedicated to showcasing innovative ideas and inspiring conversations within Durham and beyond.

Lead Organiser Alan Wong is first year student, studying Law. He has worked tirelessly to bring TEDxDurhamUniversity to life, securing funding, inviting speakers and building the event form the ground up. He is showing how powerful it can be, when students take ideas and turn them into something real that others can engage with, learn from, and be inspired by.

Since its founding in 2015, TEDxDurhamUniversity has grown into a leading student-led platform for intellectual exchange, fostering dialogue between disciplines and connecting local audiences with global perspectives.

TEDx is a global initiative licensed by TED, dedicated to sharing “ideas worth spreading” through locally organised events. Talks from TEDxDurhamUniversity will be professionally recorded and published on the official TEDx YouTube platform, which reaches a global audience of over 43.8 million subscribers.

With limited tickets remaining, attendees are encouraged to secure their place soon to be part of this unique experience.
