Speaker Series Programme
The CIPB Speaker Series brings leading scholars to Durham to present and discuss cutting-edge research in political science.
The Speaker Series runs in two formats. The first is a traditional seminar, consisting of a presentation followed by a Q&A session. The second is an innovative flipped workshop format, in which a member of staff who proposed the speaker presents their own work in progress, followed by the external speaker’s presentation. Each contribution is followed by comments from a discussant and a structured, constructive feedback session, designed to support speakers in developing their research projects.
The Speaker Series Convenor for 2025-26 is Dr Aung Hein, Durham University.
