One night only! Come along for an evening of live performance, music, and research as you’ve never seen it before.
What makes some experiences formative? How do we begin to understand the events that have made us who we are? What does it mean to think of something intangible as a ‘landmark’ moment? Join us for ‘Landmarking: A Research Cabaret’, an evening of live music, poetry, dance, and chaos to make meaning in memory – with researchers from Durham University's Institute for Medical Humanities and the best local performers. It’s research as you’ve never experienced it before (unless you came to the past two cabarets)!
Featuring a specially commissioned response from New Writing North.
This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 7–16 November 2024. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. For further information please see beinghumanfestival.org.
