Jane Macnaughton

At the turn of the millennium, Jane Macnaughton – Professor of Medical Humanities and Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Culture) – was recruited to Durham by the then Vice-Chancellor to establish the Centre for the Arts and Humanities in Health and Medicine. Twenty-five years later, through Jane’s inspirational leadership, the Centre has become a University Research Institute supporting world-class research at the critical cutting edge of this field.

On the occasion of her retirement, please join us for an evening of celebration as colleagues, collaborators, mentees, former students and friends reflect on the role Jane has played in developing the medical humanities, extending its reach, and inspiring its next generations.

All welcome.  Drinks and canapes will be provided.

Please reserve your place early as spaces are limited. A recording of the presentations will be made available afterwards for those who cannot join in person.
