Scholarships for Current Students

Durham University is committed to supporting the best students irrespective of financial circumstances.  The following scholarships are either funded by the university, through partnerships with external organisations or through generous donations from alumni and friends of the University.

All financial support opportunities have associated eligibility criteria such as household income therefore it is essential applicants consider all requirements prior to submitting an application.  Please also ensure you observe any application deadlines and submission requirements.

The scholarships, awards and bursaries below are for students who have already commenced their studies at Durham.

Durham University Arts Management Fund

Funding for personal development and extra-curricular interests within the arts.

For organised research-based expeditions to locations outside Western Europe.

 Undergraduate and postgraduate taught students. Variable allowances.

Internships and Industry Fund for Computer Science

Financial assistance to support the uptake of internships, placements and other industry activities in the UK and internationally.

 

 Students on a computer science or natural science course at undergraduate or postgraduate level. Up to £1,500 (per cycle).
Open Date: 12 October 2022 Close Date: 23 June 2023 5pm
Student Employability Fund Cash bursary for students with a household income below £42,875 to develop skills, attributes and experiences to help progression. Undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research students.

Durham Cathedral Choral Scholarship Choral Scholarships - Alto are offered by the Chapter of Durham Cathedral. Undergraduate and postgraduate students.  Up to £4021 per academic year plus additional fees

Durham Cathedral Organ Scholarship Organ Scholarships are offered by the Chapter of Durham Cathedral Undergraduate and postgraduate students £3,000 plus £500 for music/books/lessons
