Undergraduate Scholarships

Durham University is committed to supporting the best students irrespective of financial circumstances.  The following scholarships are either funded by the university, through partnerships with external organisations or through generous donations from alumni and friends of the University.

All financial support opportunities have associated eligibility criteria such as household income therefore it is essential applicants consider all requirements prior to submitting an application.  Please also ensure you observe any application deadlines and submission requirements.

Brian Cooper Scholarship

Tuition fee scholarship with the balance paid directly to the recipient.

 Applicants with a household income below £42,875. Preference is given to the following regions: DH4, DH5, DH6, SR7, SR8, TS27, TS28 and TS29. £13,000 per academic year.

Glaister Northern Scholarships

£2,500 scholarship paid directly  towards tuition or residential costs.

£1,500 scholarship paid directly to recipient to cover costs associated with internships/international experience/wider student experience.

 Applicants from the North East of England with a household income below £42,875. Postcode regions: CA, DH, DL, LA, NE, SR, TS. £4,000.00 per academic year.

Durham Inspired Racecourse Scholarship

 Scholarship paid directly to recipient Applicants with a household income below £42,875. who can demonstrate an exceptional level of excellence in Sport (Rugby); such as events at a national or international level.   £5,000 per academic year

Graham and Joanna Barker Scholarship for Music

 Scholarship paid directly to recipient Applicants who can demonstrate an exceptional level of excellence in Music £3,000.00 per academic year

Hogan Lovells Scholarships Scholarship paid directly to the recipient. Applicants for LLB Law or LLB Law with Foundation who have a household income below £42,875. and an interest in Commercial Law. £3,000 per eligible academic year.

Robert Young Scholarship

Tuition fee scholarship with the balance paid directly to the recipient.

 

 Local applicants with a household income below £42,875. Preference will be given to applicants with a household income below £25,000.   £10,000.00 per academic year.
