1. Visit our UK Clearing or International Clearing pages to see which courses have available places.  *If you can't find the course you are looking for consider different subjects - You don't have to stick with your original idea. You could also look at joint honours courses, so you can study a mix of subjects*
2. Read course descriptions and module content carefully.
3. Learn about Durham’s collegiate system. If you come to study with us, you’ll become part of our college community. Find out what that means by visiting Our Colleges.

Make sure you have:

1. Your final exam results (including any English language qualifications, secondary school qualifications like GCSEs or equivalents)
2. Your UCAS ID number (if you have one)
3. Your contact details: email address, phone number, and address

1. Complete our online Clearing form. This allows our Undergraduate Admissions team to review your qualifications and determine your eligibility for a place.
2. Wait for a response from us, confirming our decision and your next steps
3. Submit your clearing application to Durham University via UCAS (Institution Code: D86).

What happens next?

1. Once you've referred yourself to Durham on your UCAS Hub, if everything is in order we will confirm your place via UCAS.
2. UCAS will then automatically accept the offer on your behalf.
3. If you’ve applied for student finance and your course or institution has changed then you’ll need to let your student finance provider know so that your finance is in place for the start of term.

When you call:

1. Tell the adviser your name and the course you're interested in.
2. Share your results and qualifications clearly.
3. If you meet our entry criteria and places are available, you may be made a verbal offer over the phone or your details will be passed to our Undergraduate Admissions Team for review.

If we decide to make you an offer:

1. You’ll receive an email confirming this with instructions to formally apply through UCAS.
2. Once you've referred yourself to Durham on your UCAS Hub, if everything is in order we will then confirm your place via UCAS.
