Durham World Heritage Site Visitor Centre is open daily and is free to enter. 

Our team of staff and volunteers will be able to provide you with information to make the most of your visit to Durham’s World Heritage Site. You can: 

• Be introduced to Durham’s World Heritage Site 
• Purchase Castle Tour Tickets 
• Find out about events and activities taking place across Durham World Heritage Site. 

Durham Christmas Festival - We will be open Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December 10am-4pm promoting Christmas gifts and a festive workshop. 

Festive period Opening - Our last opening day will be Tuesday 23 December 10am-5pm, re-opening in the New Year on Saturday 3 January 11pm-4pm.
