The exhibition is based on research from Durham’s Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences which explores the experiences of women fans of both Newcastle and Sunderland who have been loyal supporters from the 1950s through to the present day.
This talk will share some of these fan stories and also highlight the artistic outputs this research has inspired, including collaborations with local communities and university women’s football teams.
