Between November and February, electricity prices are three times higher between 16:00-19:00. Let’s not waste energy anytime, but especially during peak times.
High prices at peak times are mainly the result of tariffs applied by the Distribution Network Operator and the National Gird. The tariffs reflect the cost of balancing the grid and ensuring that there is enough capacity during times of high demand.
Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs)
If you need to turn them up, please don’t leave them on Max.
If you need to turn them down, please don’t leave them turned fully off.
If you are going to be away, turn your radiator valve to 3. This allows some heat to get through if needed.
