Dr Carlini Versini has co-edited a special issue of CFC Intersections, published by Liverpool University Press, with Michèle A. Schaal of Iowa State University.
Titled Virginie Despentes: an Intersectional Author (?) / Virginie Despentes : une autrice intersectionnelle (?), the issue is the first academic collection dedicated to examining Despentes's work from an intersectional perspective.
Bringing together researchers from the UK, the United States and Spain, the collection considers the intersections of gender, class, race and power across Despentes's fiction, non-fiction and media interventions. Contributions examine a range of her work, including novels, podcast interviews and shorter non-fiction texts, asking how and whether Despentes articulates intersectional politics throughout her writing and public interventions.
Dr Carlini Versini also contributes an original research article to the collection.
