Durham Climbs The QS World Rankings

Durham climbed nine places in the QS World University Rankings, to 85th. The Arts and Humanities department, of which music is a part, was ranked even higher, at 31st.
These high rankings reflect our reputation among employers, for which we are ranked 49th, up 15 places. We also ranked joint 24th in the world for sustainability. Competition for these rankings is fierce, with 8,808 institutions assessed.
The result caps a strong year for the department, with music 2nd in the UK in The Complete University Guide and the Time and Sunday Times Guide, and 1st in the Unifresher Guide.
