Student Photography Competition

Calling all Sociology Students!

Take part in our Student Photography Competition 2024!

Theme: Social Harm

DEADLINE Friday 19th April, 12noon.

Winner will receive a £50 voucher!

Five highest rated submissions will be printed and displayed in the Department of Sociology.

Students are encouraged to think about, and capture in a photo, the theme of social harm.

  • What does this mean to you?
  • How is it manifested in society?
  • How is it challenged in society?

You are encouraged to interpret what social harm means in your own way.

The competition will be judged by a panel of Durham University staff.

The award will be made based on relevance to the theme social harm; artistic expression; creativity and originality; quality of image; emotion and impact.
