BSI Lunchtime Seminar
New Starters' Session
Our Lunchtime Seminars, bring together invited external speakers and members of our community to share their research and stimulate discussion. They are a great way to make connections and to discover new areas of interdisciplinary biosciences research. The first session of the new academic year is the first of two sessions introducing new academic members of staf
Avishek Das (Physics)
Research interests: The role of mechano-chemical coupling in information processing in biology and the development of new theoretical and computational tools to quantify such information processing, and discover the fundamental design principles of mechano-chemical motifs.
Jacqueline Tabler (Biosciences)
Research interests: How collective cellular behaviours emerge through reciprocal interactions between tissue geometry, mechanics, and molecular dynamics, using embryonic development as a model system.
