IMH PGR Showcase

The Institute for Medical Humanities at Durham University warmly invites you to a PhD Showcase afternoon celebrating the diversity and creativity of research in the medical humanities. This will be a friendly and informal event offering a space for PGRs to share ideas, test new work, and connect with other researchers working across disciplines related to medicine, health, and the humanities.

Come and support PGR students from across the university, including the departments of Music, Psychology, Anthropology, MLaC, SGIA and English. Confirmed panel topics include:

1) Governing Life and Death: Medical Ethics and the Body in Cross-Cultural Perspective
2) Rethinking Mental Health: Clinical, Ethnographic, and Creative Perspectives
3) Narrating the Unspeakable: Subaltern Voices and Unruly Bodies

The day will involve creative facilitation, and lunch, coffee breaks and a buffet dinner are provided.
