Home Education Day Ancient Greece at the Museum of Archaeology

Designed for home-educated children aged 6 to 12, these engaging workshops combine object handling, creative activities and performance to bring the ancient world to life.

During the session, participants will:

• Handle real and replica Ancient Greek objects
• Explore the museum through a gallery quiz trail
• Create a Greek-inspired clay object to take home
• Take part in a fun Greek-themed performance activity

Session Times

To help accommodate different schedules, the same workshop will run twice during the day:

• Morning Session: 10:00am to 12:00pm 
• Afternoon Session: 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Please book one session only, as both sessions contain the same activities.

Tickets

Participant Ticket (Ages 6-12) £4
For children aged 6 to 12 taking part in the workshop. Includes all activities and materials.

Accompanying Child (Under 5 or Age 13+) - Free
Children are welcome to attend with participating family members but will not be able to part in the craft activities.

Accompanying Adult: Free - Children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other responsible adult throughout the session.

This is a family event, so we ask that a parent, guardian or other responsible adult stays with children throughout the session. We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum of Archaeology.

The Museum of Archaeology is located inside Palace Green Library. Please note that the building is marked "University Library" in stone above the entrance.
