Equality, Diversity and Inclusion & Widening Participation Fund 

The EDI & WP Fund exists to provide financial support to staff/students to organise projects that promote EDI and WP initiatives and events throughout Durham University. 

Although the EDI Fund has been active since 2021, this year we have extended the fund to include WP activity, with dedicated funds to support projects furthering Durham’s commitment to access and participation.  

Applicants can request grants to fund initiatives that help further: 

• The University’s commitment to building an inclusive and respectful culture.  
• The aims and objectives of the EDI Strategic Framework and Objectives .  
• The commitments listed in the University’s Access and Participation Plan (APP).  

All applications will be assessed against identified criteria and will be subject to approval. We advise that you read through our EDI & WP Fund Guidance before submitting your application to the fund using the online form.
