An outreach team comprising technician Mr Gary Parker and assistant professor Dr Stefan Szyniszewski from Durham University's Department of Engineering recently made an impactful visit to Peases West Primary School in Billy Row, Crook. The team engaged year 4 students in a series of educational demonstrations aimed at fostering interest in engineering.

Researchers at the Durham Energy Institute have been awarded a £1.84m grant to lead a consortium of university and industry partners in developing virtual power plant technologies.
