Postgraduate Prizes
The LLM prizes support and celebrate academic excellence by recognising the students who obtain the best overall marks on each of the LLM streams and the student who achieves the best overall mark for the LLM dissertation.
To qualify for the International Trade and Commercial Law Prize, Intellectual Property Law Prize, International Environmental Law Prize, European Trade and Commercial Law Prize, Corporate Law Prize, International Law and Governance Prize, Medical Law and Ethics Prize, International Dispute Resolution Prize, General LLM Prize and the Dissertation Prize, the student must achieve the best overall mark on the relevant LLM stream, including marks for taught modules and the LLM dissertation, and graduate with a distinction. These prizes will be allocated after the final meeting of the LLM Board of Examiners in November.
Awards may be withdrawn from the funder with little or no prior notice for reasons beyond the control of the Law School. Where possible, any changes to prizes will be communicated accordingly to students. Furthermore, this page is still being updated. Please note that students can only be awarded one prize maximum. For the Simmons and Simmons Prize in International Dispute Resolution LLM, where there is more than one prize winner, prizes may be split accordingly.
There are 12 prizes available for Postgraduate students. Click through the slideshow below to find out more about the prizes.
