Student Enrichment and Personal Development

Trevelyan strives to produce future-ready graduates. Personal development activities are key to this, helping our students to develop their soft skills.

Careers

Trevs prides itself on producing future-ready graduates who are ready for life after university. We hold regular careers events and invite alumni from all walks of life to come and speak to our students about their career paths. We recently hosted Claire Wilkinson, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Payden & Rygel Global (an asset manager with $120 billion under management), and Dr Julia Magill, who received an MBE in the 2019 New Year's Honours list for her work as Cabinet Minister for Education and Skills in Cardiff.

Internships

An internship is a great way of developing key employability skills. As well as working with alumni to develop external internship opportunities, Trevelyan recruits for internal internship opportunities. We have just hired two student interns to work on our student enrichment programme and will be doing additional recruitment for internship opportunities connected to our wellbeing programme.

The Explore Fund

The Explore Fund provides support to current undergraduate and postgraduate students at Trevelyan College, to participate in personal development and student enrichment activities beyond their academic studies.

Travel Bursaries

Trevelyan has a number of travel bursaries available to our undergraduate students. These cover a range of academic and personal development activities.
